EveryDay Matters

I have been very busy this week and didn't get much drawing done, but I was able to finish this drawing today incorporating 3 of the weekly challenges from the Everyday Matters group.
It really was a little hard to see my glasses properly when they were lying on the table in front of me instead of wearing them!!

It rained pretty much today!

View full
Last night's April showers pictures turned out to be prophetic as it rained pretty much today, and heavy at times! Now I think I will go do some artwork since I had to drive today and yesterday and therefore I haven't done much art . . .

Well, instead of drawing I played around more on the computer, bad me! But I found this cool dumpr.net thingee that makes easter eaggs from your artwork or photos, thanks to Teri DC.

April Showers

Well, it did sprinkle a little today, but we haven't seen showers for awhile. Some people are prepared, and J. Crew wants to help people be prepared, as I saw going past one of their stores tonight!

Happy Holy Week

I realise that is a little bit of a funny title. Usually we say Happy Easter, but Holy Week is kind of somber . . . well, Joy is coming, so Happy we are!

And what could be happier than a sleeping baby, so here is a drawing I did this morning on the subway.

No flowers so far this week--but I hope to do an Easter Lily sometime this weekend!

Bless you all.

Tulip Watercolor

The tulips watercolor. I didn't take a picture of the pencil sketch first, sorry! Artist's license background--just to make the flowers pop! Any comments are very welcome.

The April challenge for the Botanical Art group is something red and native. Well, do you think tulips can be considered native everywhere they grow? Or just native to Holland? If the latter I'll just have to do an apple or a rose or something (but where are roses from originally anyway?).

Daffodil Watercolor

I worked on two watercolors this weekend, as a gift for a friend. I hope she likes them!

I sketched them from one of my photos I took last week, see previous post for the photo. I haven't done much with watyercolors for years, so I hope these turned out OK. Any comments are very welcome!
