I love walking the dog, because you get to see so many lovely places that you wouldn't go see otherwise. I often take my camera along as it is fun to photograph the landscape and the dog, often together. Nothing spectacular, no glorious mountain ranges, or sparkling seas, but all the same, it is God's good earth and has it's own simple beauty. It is artfully made by God, with a true artist's touch, and I'm happy to participate in the art by walking through it (and capturing some of it by camera, and maybe some day with paint and brush!).

oh.... i loved reading about your joy in dog walking!!
we have had our dog less than a year and she has changed our lives!! i too love the dog walking process ......
Dear Kathleen,
What serenity here for you to walk and get your thoughts calmly in place. Walking the dog is always a great reason to take in nature. I always feel like I am accomplishing a task but a wonderful reason just to be quiet with nature.

Such a peaceful setting Kathleen! No mountains or seas needed, beauty is all around us and only the ones that look for it find it :) I particularly love the bottom left pic with the long shadows of the trees and the upper right one with your shadow in it.
Have a wonderful weekend my friend.
Hugs,
Laura
Thank you so much, Elizabeth, Karen and Laura! It is so nice to have friends stop by :~). I so appreciate your nice comments. See you around soon!
I love this post,Kathleen - and the title is just wonderful. What a great thing to "think" about.
What do you mean, nothing spectacular? I love mountains but this looks wonderful to me! To be out side and in the country WITH TREES! You have a gift to see what would make a great photograph as well as what would be great to draw! I am glad to see your blog and will come back frequently.
