I'm so glad I found my Pitt pens, I really do like them! But I'm glad I misplaced them, too, or I might never have tried to combine watercolor and ballpoint! Well yesterday and today were kind of black and white days, however, so no watercolors; last night I did this Pitt pen drawing on the train on the way home.

Hi Kathleen! Yay - you found your pens! Sometimes when we try something new out of need, it works out great - serendipity at its' best!! My pitt pens are starting to wear out a bit so I ordered in some new ones, colors for a change - see what I can do with those. And hey I'm finally blogg-ing instead of flickr-ing!:D

I just love your train sketches. I get a real sense of a story, like a movie, but in a still image. (Does that make sense?)
(You are a master at drawing the back of peoples heads!)
When I can't use a dip brush (Winsor Newton Series 7) and ink, I turn to the portable Pitt Brush Pen. Nice solid black, and the tip has a nice firm feel, just nice enough to get a good thin brush stroke.
I tried the Sakura Pigma brush pens, but felt the tips were too soft and pliable, and the black was a little watered down.
I give this item 4 stars because I find the tips on all these felt brushes get frayed pretty quick, but I found a solution via an artist on youtube... should add a few more drawings to your pens life.
